Fibromyalgia

My journey to wellness began in Dr. Brett’s office. After suffering from Fibromyalgia for many years, I found relief in just a few short months. Being told by my family physician that there was “nothing I could do” about my symptoms. Maybe try painkillers, antidepressants, and untested drugs. I was looking for a more natural protocol. For me Chiropractic was the answer. Dr. Brett asked me to dedicate three months and guess what, it worked! I was skeptical at first but very quickly I started to sleep at night and have energy for my life. Traveling used to not be an option. This year I took my first vacation!

Everyone at Marshalls Creek Chiropractic really cares about you as a person. I can tell you I feel like we are famly. After trying so many other things, you come to realize you cannot neglect your spine. It is the center of your machine- your body.

After not working since 2001 I am actually looking for a job! Thank God for leading me to Dr. Brett and Dr. Bob. I’m a patient for life! Don’t suffer another day- give it a try. You won’t be sorry.

Carpel Tunnel

A patient of ours gave a testimony for us yesterday at our LeTip networking meeting. He works in landscaping and recalled that usually by August he had bilateral carpel tunnel symptoms. This year the pain and tingling started in June. We treated him using Chiropractic adjustments and the Graston Technique. He told everyone yesterday that he is no longer suffering from the carpel tunnel pain and tingling. So if you know anyone who has carpel tunnel, tell them to give us a call!

Here’s his testimony:

I was referred to Marshalls Creek Wellness Solutions over a year ago. I had been in chiropractic care before and was not convinced it could help me. I had been experiencing Carpal Syndrome for several years. It had come to the point where I was in pain from my wrists to my shoulders and was not sleeping at all well. After being with Dr. Brett and his staff for about two months I was no longer in any pain. It has been a year and I am doing fine. Thanks Marshalls Creek Wellness Solutions.

Burning/itching

Several months ago I went to Marshalls Creek Chiropractic care as a last resort. For over 2 ½ years I had been to numerous specialists in hopes of relieving the severe itching and stabbing pains in my upper right arm that kept me awake night after night. I had spent days without sleep and would actually look forward to collapsing from exhaustion. In an attempt to resolve my problem, I went to my general practitioner who then sent me to a neurologist who said there was nothing wrong with me neurologically but gave me medication to deaden my nerves so that the itching would cease. Although I fell asleep at night, I never felt alert and awake and made terrible mistakes due to being groggy, liking spilling a cup of boiling water on my leg. I felt that I was facing a life of no sleep or taking a pill every day and living in a fog. So I decided to stop taking the medication that my neurologist gave me and went back to night after night of no sleep. Feeling desperate once again due to lack of sleep, I went to a rheumatoid arthritis specialist (perhaps it was arthritis causing my itching?), then a psychologist (perhaps it was anxiety?),and then an allergist (perhaps it was the change in weather?). I also went to three dermatologists (even one at a prominent school of dermatology) who all concluded that that I had brachioradial pruritus or an itching of the upper extremities caused by nerve damage from overexposure to the sun and that I should apply various creams to alleviate the severity of the itching but also needed to realize that the itching would never go away. None of the creams alleviated the itching. I felt that all of the doctors I was seeing were more interested in covering up the symptoms with creams and drugs than really engaging in the type of research needed to understand the cause of the problem. At this point I was feeling extremely depressed and was trying to come to terms with the fact that my life would be forever diminished. That is, until I came to Marshalls Creek Chiropractic. At Marshalls Creek Chiropractic, for the first time, I was asked numerous questions about my health and my symptoms in an attempt to truly understand what I was experiencing and what might be causing my problem. I began a program of treatment that involved a more comprehensive approach, which included adjustments, therapeutic massages, Graston and periodic evaluations. After 2 ½ years of suffering, I am symptom free. I am extremely thankful to the team of chiropractors at Marshalls Creek Chiropractic for caring enough to take the time needed to assess and reassess my condition in order to help me get back the quality of life that I thought, and that numerous specialists thought, I would never have again.

Allergies

Now I’m driving with the windows down on a nice days. I thought I would never be able to again. Last October my allergies were bad. I was skeptical about the BAX treatment but everyday now I am so glad I tried it. Breathing is a real pleasure now. MT

Joshua began BAX treatments in April 2009; He is an asthmatic with many allergy problems. Josh is 9 years old and has been suffering with allergies and asthma since he was an infant. Our family was living in a house with toxic black mold when he began to have complications and breathing problems.

He was very sick during the late winter, early spring months. He had the flu twice, then pneumonia with a hacking cough that seemed to last till summer. Joshua was on 30 mg. Previcid, 15mg. Singular, 10mg. Xyzal, Nasonex, Albuterol inhaler as needed and 2 puffs of 90mcg. of Pulmicourt once daily. Our pharmacy bill was sometimes over $200 a month for Joshua alone with insurance.

He has now completed two full procedure groups of BAX treatments with Dr. Brett and Dr. Anne Marie. Since April we have decreased his medicine. He is completely off of Singulair, on 5mg. of Xzal and we are looking at taking him off completely by the next appointment with the pulmonist. He is also down to only 1 puff of Pulmicourt once daily. He rarely uses the Nasonex and very rarely needs his inhaler. During the fall months which are normally very hard on him with seasonal allergies, he had no problems. In fact the only time his asthma acted up a little was when he had an early battle with the flu. This time however he had recovered very quickly with no long coughing battles to get through. He no longer has dark circles and bags under his eyes. In fact, he is the one who asks me to make his appointments with Dr. Brett; he knows that through this he is receiving healing and renewal in his body.

We are very thankful to Drs. Brett and Anne Marie and their team at Marshall’s Creek Chiropractic.

By this summer Joshua should be close to being completely medicine free and we are very much looking forward to that day!!

If you or a family member is suffering with Allergies or Asthma, we urge you to give this a try. It was by far the best thing we have chosen for Joshua.

With Gratitude,
Dave, Gina and Joshua Missey

Let me start by saying I have always loved shellfish. Unfortunately, in my teens I developed an allergy to it. Anytime I ate any type of shellfish I would become violently sick. The allergy continued to worsen so that I could not even touch it. Peeling shrimp would cause my hands to break out in hives. I hated giving up something that was such a part of my family’s summers, but it wasn’t worth being that sick. I never thought I would eat shellfish again.

Well, I have great news! I recently underwent treatment with the BAX at Marshalls Creek Chiropractic. I am thrilled to let you know that I not only prepared but also ate fresh seafood with risotto for dinner the other night. There were clams, shrimp and scallops in it and they were delicious! The best part was that I had absolutely no reaction! No hives, no getting sick. I am so thrilled to have something I enjoy so much back in my life! Thank you Marshalls Creek Chiropractic and the BAX!

Sincerely,
Eileen O.

Disc Herniation and Sciatica:

A few months ago I took a trip to NYC with my family and on the way back I was coughing and sneezing, from a cold I really didn’t think too much of it, but when I got home I was feeling a lot of pain on my lower back and it was radiating down my right leg all the way down to my toes so much so that I went to the emergency room because within a few hours I could not feel my leg or my toes. I saw the doctor and he said I probably had sciatica and more than likely I needed an MRI of my lumbar spine. The emergency room doctor gave me a shot of some pain killer and sent me home. The next day I went to see Dr. Brett over at Marshalls Creek Chiropractic, he examined me and said I need and MRI and that I probably had a disc herniation but in the mean time he gave me some relief by giving me some therapy (EMS) and by putting me on the traction table. After a few days I went on with so much pain even walking with a cane for a few weeks. Dr. Brett continued to treat me, I finally had my MRI which revealed exactly what Dr. Brett had said (DISC HERNIATION). I then started having problems with my bladder, I could not control it, Dr. Brett and Dr. Annemarie said I needed to go to the emergency room immediately because more than likely I needed surgery to alleviate the pinched nerve. I went to the hospital where a team of orthopedic surgeons and all kinds of doctors examined me, I spent four days in the hospital with no relief, the doctors there put me on steroids and other kind of medications, but still no relief, my leg was still numb and so where my toes and I could not sleep with all the pain, they said that once I finished my steroids they would re-examine me and schedule me for surgery. Well my problem with that is that I have no insurance and so I decided to keep my care with Dr. Brett and so he continued to put me on the traction table and the EMS, adjustments and cold laser therapy. I am so happy that’s what I did, I started to feel relief immediately after two months of therapy at Marshalls Creek Chiropractic I can now walk without the cane, I can wear my high heel shoes or boots, I have no pain and my leg has now regained strength, the numbness of my toes has now gone away and I could feel my leg, so NO SURGERY FOR ME!!!! I can now sleep through the night and lay on my right side. With the care I received at Marshalls Creek, I feel like myself again, no more half days at work, I could sit on my chair without having to get up every five minutes because of pain or simply to run to the bathroom because of my bladder issue. I am so grateful to all the doctors at Marshalls Creek Chiropractic.

Headaches and Neck pain:

I’ve been seeing Dr. Brett and his team for about 2 ½ months. From the first day I walked through the doors I experienced nothing but care and professionalism. The staff, without exception, are caring and friendly. (After each visit I didn’t want to leave.)

After 6 years of going to Dr.’s, neurologists, etc, I finally felt so desperate. I was looking for a “different” solution. I explored chiropractic and consulted with Dr. Brett. I have to say after 6 weeks I felt better than I had in 6 years of different previous treatments. I do have some way to go, but feel confident that I will get there with the great care from the special ladies during massage and stretching, therapy, and the Dr.’s involved in this practice.

Sincerely,
Betsey C

Lady with Chronic Fatigue and Musculoskeletal Pain now Painting following BioVeda BAX Therapy!

I have a patient who came to my office with Parkinsons Disease and complaining of chronic fatique, depression, muscle and joint pain. She would wake up in the morning with the intent to accomplish alot, but after breakfast she would not have enough energy to do anything but sit on the couch. If she had to go out at all, she would return and just go to bed. This patient was classified as a severe protocol patient for BAX Therapy based on her state of chronic fatigue and depression. The patient recieved 25 treatments with the BAX for a combination of known allergens, environmental pollutants, common food allergens and phenolics.

This patient now self reports having been able to repaint her home and living a more active and full lifestyle. The patient reports a significant increase in energy, a near elimination of the chronic fatigue symptoms, a decrease in muscle and joint pain and a general alleviation of her depression. Now she forgets to take her Parkinsons medication and doesn’t realize it. It used to be that if she forgot her meds her hands would start to shake.
